Celebrates $1,000,000 Milestone
Poly’s fourth Giving Day, celebrated in April 2024, marked a noteworthy milestone as the community collectively contributed over $1,000,000 for the Poly Fund and additional campus priorities.
With the help of Poly Fund Volunteers, over 800 parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and students came together to create a remarkable day for Poly, more than doubling the success of the school’s first giving day in 2021. Donations supported many areas of the school, including scholarships, the arts, athletics, faculty support, student experiences, DEI, and, most of all: the Poly Fund! Fifteen gift challenges were put forward by generous donors, and all were met and exceeded by the community. Well done, Poly!
GIVING SPOTLIGHT: DEBATE AND MOOT COURT
Poly has a rich tradition in Debate and Moot Court, producing many talented students each year who go on to success in college and beyond. Director of the Upper School José Melgoza recognized the potential to do more for the Debate and Moot Court programs. Enthusiastic parent Poly Fund volunteers galvanized support, enhancing coaching opportunities and competition travel experiences, and ensuring the continued rigor and integrity of the program.
