CAROL POMERANTZ
A life-long educator, holds a BS in Education from the University of Colorado. She taught Kindergarten in South Pasadena for almost 20 years. Since retirement, she has volunteered and supported Madison Elementary School in their Reading Partners Program. Carol is the parent of three Poly graduates: Amy (class of 2002), Kate (class of 2004), and Danny (class of 2007). She is a grandparent of Kayla Bono (class of 2035), and Madelyn Bono (class of 2037). Her husband, Glenn Pomerantz, is a former Poly Board member, having served from 2003 - 2012, and partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.
JETHRO ROTHE-KUSHEL ’99
President of the Alumni Board, brings over twenty years of marketing, entertainment, media, and AI leadership experience in the private and public sectors. He has worked in commercial production, creating 30-second spots for Fortune 500 brands, produced for film and television, served as an investigative journalist for the Emmy and Peabody award–winning series Frontline for PBS, and helped influence the $1 billion investment in the forthcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Most recently, he led the Communications Bureau of LA County as the Communications and Marketing Director for Consumer and Business Affairs. Jethro graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and was a founding member of Dartmouth’s Image Science Group and Presidential Research Scholar in 1999. As an AI founder and investor, his technology empowers storytellers to create and share film, television, and commercials worldwide.
