Poly welcomes Henry Choi, who was elected to the board and began to serve during the 2022–2023 school year.
HENRY CHOI
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Henry Choi came to Los Angeles as a teenager and attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica. After graduating from Occidental College with a degree in mathematics, he earned his Master of Music degree in violin performance from the USC Thornton School of Music. Henry worked as a classical violinist before starting his own apparel sourcing and manufacturing business in Mexico, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Henry was the co-founder of Matiere, a men’s fashion brand, which was initiated into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in its third year of founding. Henry is also actively involved in real estate development and management, specializing in mixed-use projects.
Previously, Henry served on the USC Keck Medicine Leadership Board and the Campaign Advisory Committee of Crossroads School. He currently serves on the Board of Councilors for the USC Thornton School of Music and the Board of Directors at The Colburn School, where he also co-chairs its Campaign Committee.
Henry and his wife, Queence, live in South Pasadena and are parents of Poly students Constance “Coco” ’30 and Quintessa ’33.
